About
Katie Tindle is an artist, writer and educator from the North East of England, living in London. She makes installations, moving image and performance about bodies, technology and myth — pairing critical uses of technology with traditionally feminised craft. Her ongoing series ‘Wyrm’ retells the Lambton Worm, a folk cryptid from her home town of Washington, Sunderland, to explore power, civic responsibility and the friendships held together by shared stories.
Tindle is a founder member of In-grid, a trans*feminist collective of artists, educators and technologists working in and around digital infrastructures, and currently works on ServPub, a project building alternative platforms for computational publishing. She has also curated under her own name and as G.George, including the Listening Booth online sound archive. She holds an MA in Computational Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she now lectures, and a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins.
